Google Tasks, is often perceived as one of the most underwhelming apps in Google’s ecosystem while simple, often falls short compared to its competitors due to limited features and customization. My redesign aims to enhance its minimalist appeal by introducing productivity tools and gamification, making it more efficient and engaging. With seamless integration into Google apps like Calendar and Gmail, Google Tasks has great potential, but its current limitations affect focus and productivity. This case study explores how thoughtful improvements can transform it into a more powerful and motivating productivity tool.

Through initial desk research and personal verification, I discovered that Google Tasks is very basic and has a lot of limitations due to the absence of productivity-enhancing tools that reduces users' focus and overall productivity.
